![]() ![]() (Keep in mind hacking into a computer from just an IP is in no way a simple task). ![]() What can you do with someone's ip? Well, while nobody would want to go through the effort to hack the average person, theoretically if they wanted to, they could attempt to get into your machine or router by bruteforcing ports or various other methods but your computer's firewall, router and isp usually block all these sorts of exploits. Because of this, the receiving end can see your IP (for example a website you're interacting with), and you can see theirs. ![]() Your IP is a unique identifier specific to your TCP/IP network, I wont go into too many complicated concepts, in a nutshell the way you browse the internet or receive feedback from search results is by packets being sent over the TCP protocol with your ip address, the receiver's ip and the data/payload. If you are being threatened by someone claiming to have your IP, you really shouldn't feel threatened because 95% of the time it's a child / wannabe hacker feeling powerful because they know how to use a terminal. While yes, an IP address can be used to attack people with fake traffic, it's really not something you should be afraid of (and if you are, you should be using a vpn). If you did everything correctly, you should be connected to the server and able to play with others. This is a pretty common misconception people get, which is why it's pretty important to know how ip addresses work. Click “Done” and then click “Join Server”. Now you can type the server IP address in the "server address" box. To find this "server address" box first click “Multiplayer” in the Minecraft game menu and click "Add server". After choosing a server you like, enter the IP address in the “server address” box in your Minecraft client and connect to it. Many of the prints are shown in several states, in which Johns has made use of a veritable encyclopedia of printmaking techniques, including the processes of aquatint, lithography, dry point, etching and photogravure. Johns’ series of prints on the theme of the four seasons is traced here from its inception as a single frontispiece for a book of Wallace Stevens poems in 1985 to a complex group of works from 1990, incorporating much of the previous five years’ imagery. ![]() ![]() ![]() Literature often romanticizes night owls. Curious to hear if you have contrary examples, though. I actually can't think of a scenario where the amortized complexity is better than non-amortized complexity and we don't default to amortized (std::vector::push_back, for example). I also don't think it's necessarily correct that people default to not talking about amortized analysis. There is a nice rigorous definition regarding potential functions here that shows that if you sum up the amortized complexity over a sequence of operations, it will necessarily be an upper bound for the standard complexity summed over that sequence of operations (note that "worst case" is never referenced in this definition). Classical analysis only considers complexity on a per-operation basis, whereas amortized complexity is about analyzing on a per-algorithm basis. This is a widely misunderstood point about amortization, but it is actually completely independent from the concept of "worst case" or "average case". "It's just that when you don't mention that you're talking about amortised complexity, the assumption is that it's worst case." To sum up, priority queue is a heap structure, which takes $$$O(\log n)$$$ time to delete top element. Priority Queue is an extension of the queue with the following properties: Every item has a priority associated with it.
